Assistant manager Andy Millen says St Mirren are unlikely to stick with a 3-5-2 formation over the coming weeks.

The Buddies used that formation successfully in two recent matches, against Motherwell and Rangers, but Millen concedes that there are great demands placed on the squad.

Millen told the Paisley Daily Express: "It's only in the last two games we've played that way. We won on Tuesday and this time the manager felt a bit obligated because the players put so much into Tuesday's game he felt they should be given another opportunity.

"But I don't think you'll see that from now until the end of the season. We've only got 15 or 16 senior players, plus two kids that we have in, so there is no way they'll be able to go like that every week, no chance."
