Buddies boss Gus MacPherson has revealed David Barron is another two weeks away from a return after suffering a training setback.

The 21-year-old right back suffered medial ligament damage in his left knee during a friendly game against Partick Thistle in September and was initially ruled out of action for up to six weeks.

However, Barron felt pain in his knee when he tried to resume training last month and has now been told he may not be able to return to first-team contention until December.

MacPherson said: "David might be able to train soon enough but, in terms of playing games, he's another two weeks away."
