St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson says he is not even considering the prospect of relegation from the SPL this season.

Saints are joint-bottom of the table with Falkirk following the 2-1 defeat against the Bairns last weekend and will have to improve in the remainder of the campaign if they are to avoid the drop.

However, despite relegation hanging over their heads, the boss insists he is focused purely on staying up.

"As a football department we haven't considered being relegated," said MacPherson.

"The thing we have to do is make sure we know what is required to stay up."
