Brady fears axe

St MirrenMidfield star Garry Brady admits he still fears the axe from boss Gus MacPherson despite a superb start to the season.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed an excellent few months for the Buddies and has started every one of the club's games this term.

However, he knows that his standards must remain high otherwise he will be watching from the sidelines.

"Playing so many games gives you confidence but, at the end of the day, it's the gaffer's decision when it comes to who should be picked and he'll do what he thinks is best for the team," he said.

"I know the gaffer will change things around at some point and I'm sure the time will come when I'm not in the team.

"All I can do is keep working hard in training and keep doing my job on a Saturday and hope that I get selected."
