Saints boss Gus MacPherson is thought to be mulling over making a move for Dunfermline goalkeeper Paul Gallacher.

The former Dundee United and Norwich keeper's future remains in doubt and he has been linked recently with St Mirren and St Johnstone ahead of the new SPL season.

MacPherson is searching for an experienced stopper with Chris Smith out long term through injury and Gallacher, who has seven Scotland caps, fits the bill at the age of 29.
