Falkirk have been hit by the news that their Cape Verde intentional defender, Pele could be ruled for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old has a suspected ruptured Achilles tendon which he picked up during Wednesday night's 0-0 draw with Motherwell.

Pele joined the Bairns in November after being released by West Brom and has played nine times for the club.

St Mirren are already without fellow central defender Brian McLean and the news that Pele could be out for the season will come as an extra blow
