Gus doesn't want counselling

St MirrenSt Mirren boss Gus MacPherson has said he has no plans or any desire to have 'counselling' from referees' chief, Donald McVicar.

Despite believing the governing body showed pictures of a select few of the SPL managers - his being one of them - at a recent meeting of match officials, the Paisley boss says he has no reason to meet for talks.

Falkirk boss John Hughes opted to talk with McVicar this week believing that he, MacPherson and Dundee United's Craig Levein had been targetted as trouble-makers.

However the Saints boss says he has no intention of holding talks himself, and said: "Big Yogi's his own man. He's made his peace, but I don't need counselling and I haven't been offered a meeting in any case.

"The most interesting comment John made was when he said he knew his face had been shown on a screen after mine during the referees' meeting.

"There was a denial that had ever happened, but nothing's been said about it since John mentioned the subject."
