St Mirren goalkeeper Chris Smith has joined Dunfermline on an emergency loan until the middle of January.

The Pars have injury concerns over both Greg Fleming and Greg Paterson, so Smith has been drafted in as cover after being temporarily allowed to leave St Mirren Park by boss Gus MacPherson.

The 23-year-old, who has been with the Buddies for six years and made over 80 appearances, will be with Dunfermline until January 17 during which time he will hope to get some games under his belt for the Division One side.
