Blackburn midfielder Bryan Hodge is set to be offered a trial at St Mirren when the squad return for pre-season training.

The 21-year-old had looked set to join Hibs this summer until the deal fell through when Mixu Paatelainen left Easter Road, but it looks like Hodge could still head north of the border.

The midfielder, who started his career at Rangers, has not been able to establish himself at Ewood Park and will now try to prove his worth to Buddies boss Gus MacPherson.
