Midfielder Hugh Murray is ahead of schedule in his recovery and could even make the opening game of the new season.
The midfielder has been struggling with a groin problem and underwent surgery last week to correct the problem.
It was thought that the 30-year-old would miss the start of the new SPL campaign but there is a real possibility that Murray could even be back among the ranks for pre-season training.
Manager Gus MacPherson confirmed the good news saying: "We're now hopeful that he will be able to get back with the rest of the squad early in the pre-season."
