St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson has given the whole of his first-team squad time off to recover from a mystery illness.
The Saints squad have been told to stay away from the club's training base in Ralston with up to eight members of the playing staff and some backroom members affected by the sickness bug.
Captain John Potter, goalkeeper Paul Gallacher, centre back Lee Mair and on-loan striker Rory Loy are all known to be struggling while several of the club's coaching staff have also been hit.
MacPherson is hoping the players will have recovered in time to play against Hearts this weekend but has decided it best if they stay away from training until Thursday.
MacPherson said: "We've had this bug since Friday and its continued over the weekend.
"All we can do is to give the guys a couple of days off and hope they are okay to come back on Thursday and prepare for the Hearts game."
