St Mirren will be without the injured trio of David Barron, Chris Innes and Allan Johnston for the visit of Celtic on Wednesday night.
Graham Carey will also miss the match as he is ineligible to face his parent club as the Saints look to take advantage of their game in hand over bottom side Falkirk.
The only good news for St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson is that on-loan forward Rory Lory is available for selection having missed out on the Co-operative Insurance Cup final against Rangers.
MacPherson insists his side are capable of dragging themselves away from the drop zone and is hopeful they can now start earning points from their recent good displays.
"We have nine SPL games and that is what we must focus on," said MacPherson.
"There are some massive games coming up, starting with Celtic and then we have to travel up to Pittodrie.
"We have had good performances without getting points on the board but we must make sure that in the remaining games we get enough points to stay in the SPL."
