Stoke boss Mark Hughes is being linked with a move for Bordeaux's Senegal international striker Henri Saivet.
Hughes has made finding a new striker his number one priority of the transfer window and is reported to be keeping tabs on the highly-rated 22-year-old.
Reports have gone as far as suggesting that Stoke have activated a release clause in the player's contract and talks over a move to the Britannia Stadium will begin in earnest this weekend.
Hughes is also keeping tabs on Turkish international Mevlut Erding, Tottenham striker Jermaine Defoe and Watford's Troy Deeney as he looks to bring his search for a new striker to an end.
The Potters boss is also looking to bolster his midfield with Manchester City's Gareth Barry and Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, who plays for Italian side Udinese, both said to be on his wanted list.
