Coach predicts transfer frenzy

StokeStoke's Mark O'Connor is confident that Tony Pulis can complete deals to sign a number of his targets before the season starts.

The first-team coach believes Pulis has a number of deals in the pipeline that are close to bringing in several new arrivals into the Britannia Stadium.

He told the club's official website: "We may have been over in Austria training for the past week, but there has still been a lot happening on the transfer front.

"There will definitely be some new arrivals before the season kicks off in three weeks' time.

"This squad of players has got us where we are now and we mustn't forget that, but we still need to add more quality and more depth.

"There are a lot of things bubbling at the moment and hopefully one or two of them will drop for us in the next week."
