Leon Cort could make an appearance for Stoke tonight as he gets his chance along with several fringe players against Blackpool.

Cort is in the squad along with Michael Tonge, Carl Dickinson and Tom Soares for the Carling Cup third round clash which Tony Pulis is looking to use as a showcase for the reserves he wants to get out on loan.

Diego Arismendi is also in line for his first start for the club along with Tuncay while Danny Higginbotham is in line for a recall alongside Cort after his recent omission from the starting eleven.

Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest are all interested in Cort, who has fallen down the pecking order after the arrival of Robert Huth and Danny Collins.

Derby may also have a scout present as they look to follow-up their interest in Ryan Shotton who's expected to feature at right-back.
