Ricardo Fuller returns from suspension for Stoke's trip to Wigan, while Jonathan Woodgate is also in contention.

Fuller put his Stoke career in jeopardy following his sending off for stamping at Chelsea which earned him an automatic three-match ban, but he could get a second chance between now and the end of the season.

The Jamaican is out of contract in the summer but could be in line for a new one-year deal if he keeps out of trouble for the rest of the campaign.

Meanwhile, central defender Woodgate has recovered from a calf injury that has sidelined him for the last month and will be included in the matchday squad that makes the short trip up the M6.

Robert Huth is expected to have shaken off a leg injury in time to take his place but there will be no place in the squad for Salif Diao, who has a hamstring injury.
