Mark Hughes has confirmed Stoke's interest in Benfica striker Nélson Oliveira but says a deal is not done just yet.
The Potters are closing in on a season-long loan deal for the talented youngster and Hughes believes if a move can be pushed through, he will be an excellent signing for the club.
Hughes has a number of striking options available to him at the moment, but nothing like Oliveira, who was also wanted by Premier League rivals Cardiff City.
"Yes, there's an interest there," Hughes told The Sentinel. "He's a player I've seen before and I know. He's a little bit different to what we've got. I'm not sure how far down the line we are, but if we can get him he'll be a good player for us.
"He's young, but he has played for his country, so he obviously has a good pedigree and I'm sure we will try and get games out of him straight away."
