Hughes dismisses Adam Gala link

Mark Hughes has dismissed speculation that Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam.

The former Liverpool and Blackpool man has begun to find his best form once again after a disappointing first part of the season and he now has three goals in his last six games for the Potters.

There have been reports he is wanted by Gala, whose boss Roberto Mancini knows Adam from his time spent in the Premier League in charge of Manchester City.

However, Hughes has rejected the speculation and says he has heard nothing of any interest in Adam this month.

Hughes said: "I don't know where that came from. Charlie's a good player and he's playing very well at the moment.

"If they've been watching his recent games they would have been impressed, like a lot of teams are. But no comment to that one."

Adam, who joined from Liverpool in summer 2012, has scored eight goals in 46 league appearances for Stoke and has established himself as a first-team regular in recent weeks under Hughes.
