Tony Pulis has confirmed Thomas Sorensen will start in goal for Stoke against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday.
The Danish shot stopper had been Pulis's first choice up until the 2-1 defeat at Fulham but has since found himself on the bench for the Premier League matches, with Asmir Begovic preferred.
However, Pulis has decided to go back to Sorensen for the trip to Anfield as he looks set to remain in goal for however long the Potters cup run continues to last.
"Asmir has done really, really well since he came back into the League side," Pulis told Stoke's website. "He's refreshed and he's certainly made the most of that chance, but I've no problem with bringing Thomas back for this one as we did throughout the cup run last season and as we have done again in cup matches this season."
In other team news Ricardo Fuller will miss the game with Liverpool as he serves the first of a three-match ban following his sending-off against Chelsea last weekend for a stamp on Branislav Ivanovic.
Pulis has indicated there are one or two players with knocks in the squad that he will continue to monitor, but should recall Peter Crouch to the starting line-up after he was left out for the defeat at Chelsea.
