Stoke boss Tony Pulis will check on the fitness of Matthew Etherington and Cameron Jerome ahead of the game with West Brom.

Etherington has been forced to miss the last two games with a back injury and is doubtful for the clash against the Baggies, while Jerome picked up a knock against Newcastle last week and had to be replaced.

Pulis says one or two other players are carrying niggles and he will leave it as late as possible before naming his starting eleven.

"We have a few lads with knocks and niggles at the moment, so we will leave it until the last minute, having had time to assess the condition of the players," he said.

"Matty (Etherington) has trained this week, which is positive, but again we will leave it until the last minute and then decide whether he is ready or not.

"Cameron had to come off last weekend with a knock to his knee, but he should be ok. Whether we start him though, or put him on the bench, I'm still not sure."

Robert Huth will miss out again as he serves the final game of his three-match ban which means Marc Wilson will again fill in at the back alongside skipper Ryan Shawcross.
