Potters set home challenge

StokeCaptain Andy Griffin believes Stoke's home form could be the key to whether his side avoid Premier League relegation.

Tony Pulis' side, favourites to be relegated at the start of the season, have so far claimed just four points in their first-ever campaign in the top flight to lie second from bottom in the table - immediately above their next opponents Tottenham.

Griffin says he's not concerned by the Potters poor start but admitted that they need to win their games at the Britannia Stadium if they are to give themselves a chance of staying up.

The defender told BBC Radio Stoke: ""We need to win as many games as we can at home. With Tottenham being below us it's obviously a big game and we'll be looking to get a result and climb the table.

"We're not losing touch with the teams above us and that's important.

"We will stay positive. We know it will be harder to stay in the Premier League than it was to get promoted."
