Stoke are reported to be weighing up a summer move for highly-rated Lyon striker Mohamed Yattara.
Potters boss Mark Hughes has been linked with a number of strikers already this summer as he bids to improve his strike force and Yattara has now emerged as a target.
The 20-year-old Guinea international is yet to feature in Ligue 1 for the French side but impressed on loan with second division side L'Angers last term with 13 goals in 28 league appearances.
New Lyon boss Hubert Fournier is understood to be keen to keep hold of Yattara but Stoke hope a deal can be done, although they will reportedly face competition from French side Rennes and Russian outfit Dynamo Moscow.
It is hoped that Mame Biram Diouf will soon be arriving at the club, but Hughes has other irons in the fire as well, and Yattara appears to be one of them.
