QPR boss Harry Redknapp admits he is an admirer of Wilson Palacios but has refused to be drawn on talk of a move for the Stoke player.

Redknapp signed Palacios for Tottenham when in charge at White Hart Lane and with the R's tipped to bring in several new faces this month, the pair could be reunited at Loftus Road.

The Honduran international has failed to make an impact at the Britannia Stadium and there is growing talk that he might be allowed to leave during the January transfer window.

Palacios has slipped right down the midfield pecking order in Tony Pulis' squad and has only made four first-team appearances for the Potters this term.

Redknapp though is keeping his cards close to his chest on the 28-year-old and doesn't want to give anything away on potential January targets.

The QPR boss stated: "He (Palacios) did great for me at Tottenham. I'd ring Tony Pulis if I wanted to bring him here."
