Asmir Begovic and Kenwyne Jones are set to return to the Stoke side that takes on Chelsea at the Britannia Stadium.

The duo were among the players rested for the FA Cup third-round clash with Crystal Palace last weekend but will return against the Blues as Tony Pulis names his strongest line up.

It means Michael Owen, who played 54 minutes at Selhurst Park, will drop to the bench along with Thomas Sorensen, who also got a rare opportunity in the first team.

Charlie Adam will also be in line to return but Pulis has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game.

Defender Marc Wilson and midfielder Rory Delap, who have been sidelined by a broken leg and hernia problem respectively, remain the only definite absentees for the Potters.
