Stoke eye PNE ace

Stoke are among the clubs said to be showing an interest in Preston North End starlet Josh Brownhill.

The 17-year-old has made his way through the youth ranks at Deepdale and is now a part of Simon Grayson's first-team squad. Brownhill grabbed the winner against Gillingham on his full debut last month and now a host of Premier League clubs, including the Potters, are interested.

However as far as his management company are concerned he is going nowhere for now.

"Josh is very happy at Preston having made his debut and wants to repay the manager, club and fans for their faith in him," a spokesman for Cassius Management said.

"We will hold talks with the club over a professional deal for him and that is all we can say at the moment."
