Winger move ruled out

Stoke will not be making a move for Werder Bremen midfielder Aaron Hunt, who looks set to sign for Wolfsburg instead.

Hunt has been heavily linked with a move to the Potters after confirming he will be leaving Bremen this summer, but a move to the Britannia Stadium will not be happening after it was revealed he will stay in the Bundesliga.

Hunt would have been able to link up with former Bremen team-mate Marko Arnautovic, who has been a revelation since arriving at Stoke last summer, but it is not to be after Wolfsburg won the race for his signature.

Meanwhile, reports are rife that Juan Agudelo could be heading to German side Hannover 96 after Stoke failed to secure the work permit which would have allowed his transfer to go through.

Hannover need a striker to replace Mame Biram Diouf, who is heading to Stoke when his contract expires, and reports claim they will target Agudelo.
