Sunderland start the new Premier League season with a trip to West Brom on the weekend of August 16.

Gus Poyet's side, who dramatically escaped relegation last season, then host Manchester United in what is a big first home game a week later.

The first derby of the campaign takes place at St James' Park on December 20, with Newcastle making the reverse trip on April 4.

Sunderland host Hull on Boxing Day, with a trip to Manchester City on January 1.

The Black Cats end the campaign with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, where they won last season, on May 24.
