Despite conceding three goals at the weekend Phil Bardsley has hailed Sunderland's defence and tipped a strong finish.
Despite conceding late goals at Manchester City at the weekend, Bardsley believes the side are playing well and the future is bright for the Black Cats.
"To concede a couple of late goals is really disappointing but over the course of the 90 minutes we got through a tremendous amount of work defensively and stopped so much from happening.
"We have a great chance of going in the right direction now," he told the Echo.
