Black Cats ace linked with arch rivals

Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback, who will be available on a free transfer this summer, is being linked with a move to Newcastle.

Colback may yet stay at the Stadium of Light as Black Cats boss Gus Poyet has been trying to secure the future of the 25-year-old but, even though they are on course to stay in the Premier League, Colback could still decide to move on.

Colback has come through the ranks at the Stadium Of Light after joining the club as a 10-year-old, but he was born in Killingworth and is now being tipped to move to his hometown club.

It would be a very controversial switch - the last player to move directly between the two clubs was Lee Clark when he left the Magpies to join Sunderland 17 years ago - and there would be plenty of other interested parties if no new deal can be agreed at Sunderland.
