Black Cats make first Graham move

Sunderland have made an offer for Swansea striker Danny Graham, according to reports, but may face competition to sign him.

Despite a recent scoring run in the side, the Swans appear ready to allow the Gateshead-born striker to leave the club following reports of a fall-out with boss Michael Laudrup.

Graham apparently wants to return to his native North East and Sunderland want a striker so a deal could be on the cards, although there is a mention that Aston Villa want him.

However, the suggestion that they may offer £12m for him is massively wide of the mark.
