Sunderland defender Danny Collins says the Black Cats must build on the win over Blackburn in the next two home games.

Sunderland ended a shocking run of form when they defeated Rovers at Ewood Park last Saturday and Collins is now targeting further wins over West Ham and Bolton.

The win over Blackburn moved the club into mid-table but with the Premiership being so tight, Collins know they have to make the next two games count.

"It was a big leap up the table for us but we have to take advantage of that now by continuing to pick up the points," the defender revealed. "We have two home games now and we have to make the most of them.

"It's great that we're back in mid-table now but that can soon change around and that's why we've got the most of the fact that we're playing at the Stadium of Light our next couple of games with the fans behind us."
