Sunderland have no new injury concerns for Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie with MK Dons but boss Paolo Di Canio will make changes.
With 11 new players signed by the Italian during the summer transfer window, there is a much bigger first-team squad at the Stadium of Light and he will make full use of it in the second-round clash at home.
Left-back Jack Colback limped off early in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw at Southampton but he has been passed fit to play if required and Di Canio insisted he had no fitness problems other than Steven Fletcher (ankle) and Wes Brown (knee).
Vito Mannone will make his competitive debut after having to play second fiddle to Keiren Westwood in goal so far, while midfielder Cabral, who was dropped for the trip to St Mary's could return.
There may also be Sunderland debuts for summer signings David Moberg Karlsson, El-Hadji Ba and Charis Mavrias against the League One outfit.
