Fulop handed Cats exit deadline

SunderlandGoalkeeper Marton Fulop has been told by Sunderland boss Roy Keane to agree a move to Stoke in the next 24 hours or return to Wearside.

The Black Cats agreed a £3million fee with the Premier League new-boys at the weekend and, despite Fulop claiming he felt happy about the prospect of regular first-team football at the Britannia Stadium, he cannot agree personal terms with the Potters.

Keane has now issued an ultimatum to Fulop to finalise the move by Wednesday or get back to the Stadium of Light to continue training.

"Marton is struggling to agree personal terms," Keane told the Sunderland Echo.

"If that isn't sorted out within 24 hours, then he is still a Sunderland player and I will expect him back in training.

"It's up to Marton to get the best deal he can, but if he can't then he will be back here and I will welcome him back because he's got a chance of being a top goalkeeper.

"We've agreed a price with Stoke.

"These people come to see me and say they want to play first-team football, but then they get an opportunity and ...

"Money has a big say with the modern footballer."
