Sunderland keeper Keiren Westwood has picked up a thigh injury while on international duty and is a doubt to face Fulham.

The Black Cats travel to Fulham on Sunday in desperate need of a win after a run of results which has seen the drop into the lower reaches of the Premier League but they may have to go there without back-up keeper Westwood.

He was a late withdrawal from the Republic of Ireland side which lost at home to Greece on Wednesday night and he will now undergo tests at the club to see the extent of the the thigh injury.

If the 28-year-old fails to shake off the problem, boss Martin O'Neill will turn to England Under-19 stopper Jordan Pickford as back-up to first-choice keeper Simon Mignolet.
