Midfielder tips Sunderland survival

Last Updated: Thu, 21 Nov 2013 09:55

Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback remains focused on the Black Cats beating the drop despite his contract situation at the club.

Talks between the club and the midfielder have broken down in the past, although they are scheduled to resume in the near future as he waits to see if he is part of Gus Poyet's plans.

Colback says he is concentrating on Sunderland getting out of trouble rather than worrying about a future deal at the Stadium of Light.

"The most important thing is that we get out of trouble," he said. "We've won two out of our last three games to give ourselves a chance and it's important we follow that up by bringing points home from Stoke this weekend."
