Sunderland striker Benjani is hoping to get among the goals at his new club following his loan move from Manchester City.

The Zimbabwean striker has made just six appearances for City this season as injury and the form of the likes of Carlos Tevez, Craig Bellamy and Emmanuel Adebayor have kept him out of the starting line-up.

However, Benjani believes he will be a success at Sunderland and feels he can help the side push up the Premier League table.

"It feels really great to be here and I am very happy with my decision," Benjani told the club's official website. "Sunderland is a good club.

"I am feeling fit and well and ready to play. I have been injured for a long time in the past but I've recovered well.

"Now I have a chance to play regularly here and hopefully I will get time on the pitch.

"The season for them is okay (Sunderland), but not so much for me as I've not been playing. As a player I need to play and that has been frustrating.

"As a striker I always want to score in every game. There are some good players here and I am looking forward to playing with them."
