Norwich game looms for Black Cats

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has admitted that the next match for the Black Cats, at home to Norwich, is a massive game for them.

The defeat at QPR last Saturday coupled with a run of fixtures, which are difficult to say the least, means that Sunderland need a win over Norwich when they visit the Stadium of Light next weekend.

Following the home clash with the Canaries, who themselves are not quite out of trouble, O'Neill's men face Chelsea away, Manchester United at home and then Newcastle United away.

O'Neill said: "We've got some exceptionally hard fixtures in front of us, but we have to just press ahead and get something out of them.

"And in that context the Norwich City game up next becomes a very big one for us."
