Poyet looks to home form

Following last week's triumph at Fulham, Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is now focusing on improving the club's form at home.

Southampton are the visitors to the Stadium of Light at the weekend and the Black Cats boss is looking to improve results on their own patch, where they have picked up just seven points this season, compared with ten on their travels.

Home form in the cup competitions has been good and Poyet wants his team to now replicate that, starting with the Saints, in the Premier League as they face a string of relegation troubled rivals between now and the end of the season.

Poyet told the Echo: "I'm delighted with the Fulham result but I want to win at home now.

"Our away fans have been fantastic and we have not lost away from home in five so they are delighted.

"But our home fans have suffered more in the league and I want to end that now."
