Striker Louis Saha has left Sunderland, the club have confirmed.

Manager Martin O'Neill revealed earlier this month that both parties had agreed to cancel the 34-year-old's contract after 14 senior appearances, and now he has formally parted company with the Black Cats.

Chief executive Margaret Byrne told the club's official website, www.safc.com: "We wish Louis all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution to Sunderland."
