Steed signs - two more to follow

SunderlandSunderland have completed the signing of Steed Malbranque and boss Roy Keane says two other signings could follow.

Malbranque became Sunderland's fourth signing of the summer when he penned a four-year deal late on Wednesday night, but the spending will not stop there and Keane wants two more.

Keane told the club's website: "Things are starting to take shape. Steed [Malbranque] went through today and we're looking at possibly two more, I'll be fairly pleased if that happens.

"The Steed deal dragged on a bit but to be fair to him it's a big decision and we had to respect that; we worked hard to make it happen. When you are trying to get quality players, sometimes it takes time."

Malbranque joins El-Hadji Diouf, Teemu Tainio and Pascal Chimbonda at the Stadium of Light.
