Swansea midfielder Ki Sung Yueng is set to join Premier League rivals Sunderland on a season-long loan.
The South Korea international joined the Swans in a then club-record £5.5million move from Scottish side Celtic last summer.
However, he is set to find first-team opportunities limited this season following the arrivals of Jose Canas and Jonjo Shelvey.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is unwilling to let the 24-year-old leave on a permanent basis, but is prepared to sanction a loan move, with Sunderland acting quickly to show an interest.
It is believed terms over the loan deal have already been agreed between the two clubs and the midfielder is in Sunderland to finalise the move.
Ki will become the 12th player to sign for the Black Cats this summer, with the likes of Jozy Altidore, Emanuele Giaccherini and Modibo Diakite already joining Paolo Di Canio's side.
