Swansea boss Paulo Sousa has admitted he is unclear on what the future holds for Leon Britton who is wanted by Wigan.

Former boss Roberto Martinez wants to take the 27-year-old to the DW stadium and the midfielder says it would be a dream come true to play in the top flight although he maintains he is also happy at Swansea.

Sousa only wants players at the club that are totally focused on the Swans, saying: "What we want is a player focused on us and our identity."

Meanwhile, chairman Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post:"I have spoken to Wigan in the past but there has been nothing in the past week.

"We have had no bids from Wigan for any of our players so as things stand there is no situation with Leon Britton.

"He is our player."
