Huw Jenkins says it comes as no surprise to see Brendan Rodgers linked with the top jobs but expects him to stay with Swansea.

Rodgers has just been rewarded with a bumper new contract at the Liberty Stadium after working wonders during his time at the club but that is not stopping speculation linking him with a move away.

The Swans boss has said he is happy where he is but has also admitted that he would like to work on the biggest stage possible if the chance arrives some time in the future.

Chairman Jenkins understands that but expects his manager to stay even though there could be very tempting positions at Tottenham and Chelsea available in the summer.

"Brendan's done really well coming into the Premier League and the way football is there could be three, four, five jobs coming up in the summer and you never know," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.

"Obviously things like that are going to be touted about, but we'll do all we can to make sure Brendan stays with us.

"We also fully appreciate some of these clubs are going to be looking for managers and perhaps - hopefully not now, but in the future - Brendan may think the time will be right to move to a club in the Champions League.

"But I think that's a while off yet - let's concentrate on what he does for us over the next few years."
