David Cotterill has admitted he will have to be go out on loan this season in order to pick up first-team football.
Three Championship clubs have reported interest in bringing the Welsh international on-loan, once the window opens again.
Cotterill was signed by Paulo Sousa two years ago, but has not been a part of Brendan Rodger's plans over the past 12 months.
The 23-year is eager to find a club to allowing him to get playing once again.
He said: "As soon as the loan window opens, I'll be looking to get out and play a few games,"
"It's really frustrating at the moment that I'm not playing. I'm not even travelling with the team so it's important I go somewhere else to give me the best chance of getting in the Welsh squad.
"My future's not looking very bright at Swansea, that's no secret because the gaffer's put it out in the press.
"It's been very difficult because I thought I'd come back this season with a clean slate. I kept my head down and worked hard, but obviously that wasn't enough because I didn't even get to travel for the tour of Austria."
