Defender move rumours grow

Last Updated: Mon, 25 Nov 2013 07:13

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is reported to be stepping up his attempts to land Espanyol defender Hector Moreno.

Laudrup continues to be linked with a new central defender following the injury problems Ashley Williams has suffered this season and Moreno has emerged as a target.

The Swans boss is again looking to Spain, a league he knows well, and the 25-year-old Mexican international would also fit in with the club's transfer budget.

Laudrup headed over to Barcelona recently, fuelling speculation a move is on the cards, and fresh speculation has emerged suggesting a deal is being lined up ahead of the transfer window.
