Stephen Dobbie has returned to Blackpool after completing a deadline-day loan move from Swansea.

The 29-year-old forward played 22 times for the Seasiders, scoring six times, when they were promoted to the Barclays Premier League in 2010.

Dobbie will hope lightning can strike twice with the Seasiders currently fifth in the npower Championship ahead of his possible second debut at fellow npower Championship high-flyers Reading on Saturday.

"I am absolutely delighted to welcome Stephen back to the club," manager Ian Holloway told Blackpool's official website. "I have tried to sign him a number of times since his successful loan in 2010 and he will give us a massive boost for the run-in.

"He had a number of other options and I'm delighted he chose us. I would also like to thank Brendan Rodgers and Swansea for allowing him to come and I, like our supporters, can't wait to see him pull on the Tangerine shirt again."

Dobbie failed to score in nine appearances for Swansea this term and last played in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham on New Year's Eve. Earlier this week he was linked with a move to Bristol City.
