Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has outlined his determination to reach the final of the Capital One Cup this season.

The Swans are through to the semi-finals after beating Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Welsh outfit are joined in the last four by Bradford, Aston Villa and either Leeds or Chelsea, and Laudrup now wants to make it to Wembley.

He said: "It's fantastic to reach a semi-final. I asked all the players before the game if any of them had played in a cup final, and no one had.

"Everyone can be proud that we are in the semi-finals, but when you are there you want to go the next step and be in the final.

"Whoever we play next, it will be very special."

Punters looking to use a free bet will take note of Laudrup's comments as he looks to mark his first season as a manager in England with some silverware.

The Swans did just enough to see off Boro, with an own goal from Seb Hines in the final 10 minutes enough to settle the game in their favour.

Laudrup's and his players' focus now shifts back to the Premier League and Sunday's trip to Tottenham.

Swansea saw a six-match unbeaten run in the top flight come to an end last time out when they were beaten 4-3 at home by Norwich City.
