Swansea winger Scott Sinclair says he wants to stay at the club and hopes a new deal can be sorted at the end of the season.
Sinclair has been one of the star performers as Swansea have taken to the Premier League like a duck to water in their debut campaign but he falls out of contract in the summer and would be able to leave for free.
Swansea are keen to ensure that does not happen and are ready to offer him a bumper new deal, while the player himself has admitted he would be more than happy to stay at the Liberty Stadium.
All talks are on hold while Swansea focus on finishing the season with a flourish but it is hoped fresh terms will be hammered out in the summer.
"We are just going to wait until the end of the season and discuss it then," Sinclair told the Sun. "I'm happy to be playing every week and to have a manager who believes in me.
"So my preference would be to stay. Hopefully I can keep playing and getting some more goals."
