Swansea are reported to have reached a pre-contract agreement with Real Betis midfielder Jose Canas.
Spain has been a happy hunting ground for Michael Laudrup since his arrival at the Liberty Stadium and he is sure to return there again when the transfer window re-opens in the summer.
Laudrup says the club have been working hard to bring new players to the club since the winter window closed and it looks as though their efforts may have paid off with Canas reported to be in the bag.
Neither club is willing to confirm the deal as Betis battle for a place in Europe but it is thought the 25-year-old has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Swans and will officially join on July 1.
Swansea have beaten off competition from West Brom to land Canas, who has refused to pen a new deal with Betis and will be a free agent when his current one expires.
