Swansea are being linked with a move for Wigan striker Arouna Kone as Michael Laudrup looks to add more goals to his ranks.
Laudrup has yet to replace Danny Graham, who left to join Sunderland in January, and is on the look out for at least one striker to take some of the pressure away from Michu.
Kone has now emerged as a target following some impressive performances for Latics despite the club's relegation to the Championship and a summer swoop could be on the cards.
Laudrup knows the player well from his time in La Liga where Kone played for Levante and Sevilla, but now he has proven himself in the Premier League, the Swans boss could be ready to get the cheque book out.
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has vowed to keep hold of his key players but much will depend on the future of Roberto Martinez, who could be on the verge of walking away from the DW Stadium.
